ChatGPT's New Pages Feature
TL;DR
- ChatGPT Pages is an editable document inside Space where you write alongside ChatGPT. Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans can create and edit Pages.
- Type
/to open the insert menu. Generate writes text from a description, Visualize builds interactive tools such as a calculator, and Media adds images. - Ask for changes in the sub-chat attached to a draft, then click Accept to put the result in your Page.
- Space includes templates such as a to-do list and a weekly update, and both start from your connected apps.
- Slides and sheets are marked coming soon. The clock icon offers scheduled updates, but OpenAI says Keep updated is not available at launch.
ChatGPT Pages is an editable document inside ChatGPT's new Space, where you write alongside ChatGPT. OpenAI announced it on September 29, 2026. I gave it a test drive on a real estate market update, and one Page held the post, an image, and a home buyer calculator.
I used an Austin market update as my example because it touches four Pages tools: research, writing, an image, and an interactive calculator.

What Is ChatGPT Pages, and Where Do You Find It in Space?
ChatGPT Pages is a collaborative document, and you find it in Space, the new section in ChatGPT's sidebar. OpenAI's help center states that Space replaces Library for accounts with access to Space.
When I clicked Space, I could see the things I can create. Pages are ready now. Slides and sheets are marked coming soon. The list also showed sites, images, and folders, and I can create more spaces.
A Page works like a collaborative document, with other people and with ChatGPT itself. I work with ChatGPT to create the parts of the document that I can use, publish, or share.
OpenAI's help center states: "You can create and edit content in Space with ChatGPT Pro, Business, or Enterprise." OpenAI also published a how-to guide for Pages, which covers the same features I walk through below.
How to Get Started with ChatGPT Pages
ChatGPT Pages gives you five basic steps: create and title the page, generate text, revise it in the sub-chat, add an image, and add a Visualize block. Pages is new, so my Austin real estate market update is a quick example of each tool.
- Create and title the page. Open Space, select New page, and add a title. Voice dictation works. I titled mine "Austin Real Estate Market Update."
- Generate text. On an empty line, type
/to open the insert menu, then choose Generate, which writes from a description of what you want. My prompt: "Write a real estate market update for the Austin area. Be sure to research first. Don't include any of my competitors." - Revise in the sub-chat and accept. ChatGPT wrote an Austin area update, but I wanted the current month. In the small chat attached to the draft, I typed "Change to October update." The draft came back as an October 2026 update with the links it referenced displayed. Clicking Accept puts the text into the Page. Open the links ChatGPT referenced and check each number before you publish.
- Generate an image. Type
/again, scroll down to Media, choose Image, and choose Generate instead of attaching a file. Then describe the image. I asked for the Austin city skyline. - Visualize a tool. Type
/, choose Visualize, and describe what you want. I asked for a home purchase calculator for the Austin area and clicked Accept. I entered a $650,000 purchase price to try it, and the calculator ran inside the Page.

ChatGPT works on more than one thing at a time. The image and the calculator were both building while I kept typing on the Page. ChatGPT created several versions of the skyline for me to choose from, so I picked one and resized it inside the Page.

What Else Can a Page Do? Formatting, Scheduling, and Sharing
A Page also takes standard formatting blocks, nested pages, scheduled updates, and sharing, all from the same document.
While the image and the calculator were building, I typed / and chose Heading 1, then wrote a short take on what is happening in the Austin market. The same menu offers bulleted lists, numbered lists, checklists, and quotes. OpenAI's Pages guide lists these insert menu options:

A clock icon on the Page opens scheduled updates. A market update does not need one, but a Page I share with clients or colleagues could refresh on its own, so I would not have to update it by hand. OpenAI's help center states: "Automatic page updates with Keep updated are not available at launch." Check your account before you plan around scheduling.
The Share button shares the Page. OpenAI's sharing guide states: "You can choose who to share a page with and whether they can view or edit it."
Which Space Templates Did I Try?
Space includes templates for a to-do list, a weekly update, a project tracker, a feedback tracker, release notes, and a guide to using Space, and the to-do list and weekly update templates start from your connected apps. I clicked All in Space to see them.
When I clicked the to-do list template, the prompt window opened on its own. ChatGPT started going through my calendar, my email, and the connections I had already set up. When it finished, ChatGPT had put together a to-do list from my priorities and follow-ups, drawing on my recently accessed documents too.
The weekly update template starts the same way. The prompt window opens, and ChatGPT connects to my recent documents and recent emails to produce the update. I do not have to work out what happened this week on my own.
These templates read your calendar and email, so check which apps you have connected before you open one.
What Is Coming Next to Space?
OpenAI's Space page lists collaborative slides and spreadsheets as coming soon, and Pages is available today on ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise. I expect slides to work like presentations and sheets to work like spreadsheets, and I expect more templates for each.
